- Intense feelings and
- Dreams about the traumas
- Don’t go it alone:
- Get support by talking to others in your team
- Ask for support from your supervisor – engage in debrief/supervision with your manager
- Access Employee Assistance Program
- Be compassionate about having strong reactions to a child’s family’s trauma
- Seek help with your own traumas, if required. Seek counseling with a professional who is knowledgeable about trauma
- Find time to self-reflect and seek the opportunity for team reflection and learning
- Refer to your organisation’s safety procedures
